Much like the cabs of New York and London, these 1970's era Hillman Aambassador cars are the iconic taxi cabs of old Kolkata. These cars are diesel powered with bench seats and only a small 12v fan too keep the humidity at bay whilst stuck in traffic. For better or worse they are being phased out and replaced by modern airconditioned Japanese cars.
